Your main tasks include:

• Advising national and international clients on intellectual property matters, including patents, utility models, trademarks and designs
• Processing of incoming invention reports
• Preparation from drafting to filing and prosecution of patent applications on a national and international level in cooperation with inventors, technical experts and colleagues in Germany and abroad
• Representation in opposition, nullity and patent infringement proceedings, preparation of expert opinions on the validity of intellectual property rights and freedom from third party rights (FTO)

Your profile

• You are licensed as a German and/or European Patent Attorney
• You have a completed, scientific education in the field of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, or similar
• You have very good German and English language skills and enjoy working on complex issues
• You have a quick grasp
• You enjoy working carefully and independently
• You enjoy working closely with the technical experts to familiarize yourself with new issues

• review and processing of domestic and foreign notices
• period quotation and monitoring
• conducting general correspondence in German and English with clients and correspondent lawyers
• general mail processing
• mutual substitution due to absence.

Your profile

• a completed training as a patent attorney paralegal or similar training with relevant professional experience in the firm
• very good computer skills (MS Office)
• very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken, and an independent, careful and structured way of working.
