
Dominik develops IP strategies and elaborates IP portfolios, while decisions are based on his technical, economic and legal background and in close collaboration for his clients.
Several years of interdisciplinary work in industry and research enable Dominik to understand the challenges of innovative businesses and to create economic value by intellectual property rights. For this purpose, he plans necessary patents and trademarks for his clients in a well targeted manner and from an economic point of view. He further manages the prosecution proceedings for these intellectual property rights.
In particular, he is interested in advising start-ups as well as in developing and implementing their IP strategies. Dominik also advises start-ups and venture capital investors prior to financing rounds on various intellectual property issues.
He is a lecturer at the Nordakademie University for patent right and is a private lecturer.
Dominik is a founding partner of the law firm HEESCHEN PÜLTZ and has previously worked in a renowned patent law firm in Hamburg. He studied mechanical engineering, industrial engineering and business administration at the Technical University Hamburg, Aachen University and Tsinghua University (Beijing).
